Everyone has to start somewhere. Our first trades how exhibit happened in 2007 at Collectione trade fair in Frankfurt. It proved an encouraging start to what has now become known as FIFTYEIGHT PRODUCTS. Here's a look back.

Shanghai is not only one of the largest economic centers of the world, it's also a city of stark contrasts. On one side of the 113-kilometer long Huangpu river, the new Pudong district is dedicated to BIG BUSINESS – literally shouting at you in large-scale dimensions – while on the other side you can find the historic China in the Puxi district.

For every mood and occasion, the six-piece napkin collection offers a fitting design ranging from posh to playful. It’s a move into a brand-new product category – and one that’s been carefully planned. “It was an exciting challenge for us to play around with an entirely different material and finessing all the new production processes. Our loyal TASSEN fans at this point pretty much have their shelves fully stacked with our porcelain goods – so it was time to serve them something new,” smiles Chris Endres, Head of Distribution, Germany.

What’s the inside story behind the latest addition to the TASSEN universe, our new coffee mugs? We talked to the designer of the mugs, our very own Max Zimmermann.

If someone told you about a German being interviewed on the streets of Tokyo by a Japanese TV-station about the German Football Cup victory of sports club Eintracht Frankfurt – you would say they’re probably joking. Or they had too much sake… But that’s exactly what happened to FIFTYEIGHT CEO Marc on a visit to Japan in late May 2018. The reason for this specific media interest: A few days before, the captain of the Japanese soccer team, Makoto Hasebe, made a key contribution in finally winning Frankfurt the coveted title for the first time in over 30 years.

Love has a way of rocking your world and throwing everything out of whack. That’s exactly what our laid-back flower vase is experiencing in the latest animated film from TASSEN. Usually it’s the vase’s job to serve other people’s flower greetings. But now the vase decides to get its own love life in order. If only that were so simple…

In June 2018, Edina and Marc had their first encounter with the land of Vikings and economic affluence. The Key Account Manager and the CEO of FIFTYEIGHT wanted to pay a visit to our new distributor team, consisting of our long-time distro partner Christopher Roren from Oslo and entrepreneur André Vevle with his state-of-the-art warehouse in Skogn near Trondheim. But what was initially planned as a business trip, “soon turned out to be a meeting among friends,” said Marc. Edina agrees: “The two are much like all the other Norwegians we had a chance to meet – incredibly cordial and relaxed people.”
